biography

Sanjana Jayakrishnan is a Lean Six-Sigma and Design Thinking practitioner leveraging her technical background in mechanical engineering to streamline systems and processes in non-profit institutions to improve their performance.

She has led several transformation projects with non-profits working in livelihood, health, education, and skilling domains impacting more than 450,000 lives in India.

Compassion for social change led Sanjana to quit her job with an automotive manufacturer to join the non-profit space. Prior to social impact consulting, she spent five years working with grassroots women’s collectives in rural communities of central India, during which she cofounded a non-profit facilitating the economic empowerment of women.

Sanjana believes that understanding intertwined elements, such as people, process, policy and technology is imperative for institution building and transformation.

Through the MPP programme, she wants to learn how to use the policy lens in the development space to enable large-scale systemic change.

Sanjana is a Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholar.
