Salsabila (Salsa) is an economist from Indonesia currently serving as a Junior Economist at Bank Indonesia, the country’s central bank, focusing on developing and evaluating regional strategies to stabilise inflation and foster inclusive economic growth. Her responsibilities span across data-driven policy formulation, including economic forecasting, macroeconomic modeling, and the analysis of price dynamics and sectoral trends. Salsa works closely with local governments and stakeholders to ensure that policy recommendations are not only theoretically sound but also practical and impactful on the ground.
Before joining the central bank, Salsa worked in the private sector supporting SMEs as a Business Strategy and Growth Specialist, an experience that deepened her understanding of real-sector challenges and shaped her policy outlook. She is particularly interested in policies related to inflation control, food security, and sustainable growth. Salsa is a Bank Indonesia scholar.
