Ruth is a Rhodes Scholar born and raised in South Africa to Zambian immigrant parents, currently finalising her MA in International Relations at the University of Pretoria. Her work bridges policy research, political risk analysis and youth development advisory. Through a politics internship at Oxford Economics Africa, and research assistant work with the African Centre for the Study of the United States at UP and at the South African Institute of International Affairs, Ruth conducted research centred on corporate political risk analysis, African governance and foreign policy. She currently serves as a Youth Advisor at the Embassy of Sweden in Pretoria. Her primary policy interests centre on economic policy and state capacity, particularly public resource management and anti-corruption for macroeconomic stability.
