Roop Kunwar is a development sector professional with a graduation in commerce from India.

Creating an enabling environment for people to realise their potential has been the focus of Roop Kunwar's professional endeavours. Viewing quality education as the ultimate enabler, Roop Kunwar worked with Teach For India for four years. Engaging with migrant communities in Delhi and a riot hit community in Ahmedabad, he realised that paucity of basic public services restricts the potential of millions in India. Finding policy action as the most potent way of addressing these pervasive deprivations, Roop Kunwar joined the office of Honourable Chief Minister, Haryana. After a spending a year implementing policies in the rural Charkhi Dadri district, Roop Kunwar transitioned to a state consultant role with the Haryana Right to Service Commission and worked on optimisation of public service delivery in the state for two years.

In the coming years, Roop Kunwar is keen on exploring the nuances of health policy and the policy applications of data analytics.
