biography
Rachel is a medical doctor from Australia, graduating from Monash University in 2022. She began her career in the public healthcare system, training in critical care. In 2024 Rachel undertook an MSc in Applied Digital Health at the University of Oxford, focusing on integrating artificial intelligence in healthcare. She is motivated by a desire to deepen her understanding of policy development and the interplay between diverse policy areas.
Rachel's academic interests centre on healthcare policy that advances equity, safety, sustainability, and system efficiency. In addition to her focus on technology’s role in shaping the future of healthcare, she is deeply committed to developing sustainable healthcare systems that protect and promote both human and environmental health, an interest informed by her work with planetary health advocacy organisations in Australia.
Outside her professional pursuits, Rachel is an avid rock climber and hiker. Rachel is a Rhodes scholar.
