Paula Mendoza Giraldo is a Colombian economist passionate about health policies and committed to leading transformations to reduce social inequalities.

For the past six years, Paula has worked in the health sector, both for the pharmaceutical and health insurance companies. She has witnessed the challenges governments face to guarantee access to quality healthcare in the context of limited resources.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Paula performed as an advisor to the CEO at ACEMI, the association that represents health insurance companies in Colombia.

The team played a crucial role in coordinating strategies to ensure the delivery of health services and the success of the vaccination rollout, working along with the government in the construction of policies to cope with the daily challenges of the pandemic, including the national vaccination plan.

With the MPP Paula is looking to expand her knowledge of policymaking and get prepared to design public interventions to address complex policy issues to achieve better social outcomes.
