Osama is a first class honours graduate in chemical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). He is a Rhodes Scholar and holds both the Aramco CPP and SABIC SSP scholarships. Raised in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, Osama developed an early interest in the energy and chemicals industries. His policy interests centre on energy transition, water security, and sustainability in the chemicals industry, with a focus on integrated hydrogen and renewable energy systems. Osama completed his undergraduate research on crude to chemicals conversion and undertook an internship as a data and chemometrics analyst at JP3 Measurement in Austin, Texas. He has also served as a strategy consultant at KFUPM YLAB. Osama is a Qimam Fellow and a member of the Saudi Energy Leaders Assembly. He led multiple initiatives in research empowerment, community development, and student entrepreneurship.
