Nikunj’s lived experiences of growing up in a community surrounded by inequity, coupled with his work with the disadvantaged communities in India, have shaped his perspective on justice and power. This has further fuelled his passion for making this world better, safer and more equal. As a development policy practitioner and a social justice leader, Nikunj has worked in areas that are critical to human development such as education, gender, livelihood, human rights, social justice and advocacy. Nikunj began his journey in the development sector as a Teach for India fellow. Afterwards, at International Innovation Corps, he worked with the Department of Education on systemic education transformation, with Niti Aayog (Government of India’s Internal Planning Unit and Think Tank) on enabling women entrepreneurship, and with SEWA Bharat on labour rights & livelihood opportunities for informal sector women workers. Nikunj looks forward to deepening his understanding of policies and how they influence and shape countries.
Nikunj is a Chevening Scholar.
