Neor is a Canadian with over five years experience in government, including three years advising senior cabinet ministers. From working for Canada’s International Development Minister to helping reform Canada’s emergency management policies, Neor has worked closely at the intersection of political decision-making and public policy. Most recently, he served as a policy and senior regional advisor to Canada’s defence minister where he supported major reforms to Canadian defence policy, including efforts to increase spending towards NATO’s 2% benchmark. Beyond government, he worked as deputy campaign manager, helping to elect one of Canada’s youngest new Members of Parliament.
Neor graduated with distinction from the University of British Columbia with a BA in Political Science and a minor in International Relations. His policy interests focus on how political ideology and decision-making are reshaping the international security environment, and how middle powers can best navigate these shifts.
