biography

Nate is from the United States and a graduate of Western Washington University where he studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, serving as a student member of the University's Board of Trustees. Following his undergraduate studies, Nate completed internships in the U.S. House of Representatives and the White House where he contributed to state legislature housing policy strategy.

Most recently, he served as a policy advisor in the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Commerce where he worked on issues ranging from support for minority businesses to export control administration. In his future studies and work, Nate seeks to deepen his knowledge of housing and homelessness policy. He is interested in strengthening the physical and social fabric that enables community and individual flourishing, including through increasing housing affordability and the social sustainability of urban design.

Nate is an Eisenhower Global scholar.
