Born in South Korea and educated in Canada, Singapore, and the US, I became naturally interested in how different regimes govern and interact with each other. I obtained B.A Honours in International Relations from New York University, where I conducted a thesis examining the socio-political implications of water privatisation in developing nations. I subsequently worked at the Korean Consulate General in NY as a Political Researcher, nonresident James A. Kelly Fellow at Pacific Forum CSIS, and Twitter in Seoul as a Public Policy fellow/lead. For the latter, I led all projects with government partners to foster and amplify best practices in social media, online safety, and civic engagement, including campaigns to celebrate the historic Inter-Korean Summit, Winter Olympics, and national elections. Upon graduating from the Blavatnik School, I hope to pursue a career in the nexus of security, tech policy, and multisectoral cooperation.
