biography

Muhammad is a civil servant working for the Government of Pakistan.

After graduating with honours and a double major from Cornell University in 2017, Muhammad chose to return to Pakistan and sit for the country's highly competitive civil service exam. He came third across the country and have since served in the local district administration in some of the world's most conflict ridden and impoverished cities including Khuzdar and Quetta in Balochistan. Muhammad's experience allowed him to closely observe governance and power structures at the grassroots level in Pakistan.

Alongside leading polio campaigns in persistently high refusal areas and managing law and order, by engaging private donors I established Gilgit, Baltistan's first-ever vocational and training center for the differently abled, Skardu city's first ever female public library and the first ever school in a war-torn neighbourhood in Quetta. Muhammad's policy interests include strengthening local governments and grassroots democracy in Pakistan.
