Mizuki is a public servant with over five years of experience at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Japan. Beginning his career as a senior officer responsible for bilateral negotiations with the United States, he has worked across a wide range of policy areas related to food security and climate change. Most recently, Mizuki has coordinated aspects of Japan’s national budget as a section chief at the Ministry of Finance. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws from Keio University, where he focused on the intersection of politics, public policy, and law. These professional and academic experiences have been driven by the belief that everyone should have access to sufficient and sustainable food. Mizuki’s current policy interest lies in how governments can engage with non-state actors more collaboratively to address global challenges and develop policy mechanisms to tackle one of humanity’s most pressing issues: hunger.
