biography

Min Min is a former political prisoner from Myanmar who was imprisoned for over five years.

He has since been working at the Thailand – Burma border helping to secure funding for humanitarian assistance.

Min was awarded a Human Rights Fellowship at the University of York, and is a graduate in Politics with International Relations from the University of York.

Min has 11 years of experience working with non-profit organisations, including Suu Foundation where he is currently working as a Project Development Officer, Assistance Association for Political Prisoners, Westminster Foundation for Democracy, and at the University of Manchester.

He has worked on a range of issues in these roles including policy on prison reform, human rights violations, transitional justice, working with diplomats and government officials, lobby, and advocacy Min is passionate about human rights, social and political change and transitional justice.

One of his interests is to create policy to reform prisons in Myanmar. Min Min is an Oxford-University College-Burma Graduate Scholar.
