Michaellah recently completed an Msc In African Studies at Oxford University and previously graduated from Yale University with BAs in History and African Studies.
Her academic research has covered strategies by African female-led protestors, Zimbabwean women’s experience of colourism and the impact of war veterans on Zimbabwean politics.
While her policy interests are broad, Michaellah is passionate about education, female empowerment and diplomacy. Having served as a Yale Young African Scholars Fellow in Ghana and Rwanda, she believes that education, mentoring and networking are some of the greatest youth empowerment tools.
Her experience interning with Bridge International Academies in Liberia, sharpened her interest in educational policy reforms in post-conflict areas, and highlighted the nexus between the work of NGOs, governments and social enterprises.
Michaellah is a Beit-Blavatnik-Wadham Scholar.
