Michael França was a visiting researcher at Columbia University and Stanford University. He is a columnist for Folha de S.Paulo and the editor of the "Policies and Justice" section of the newspaper. He also holds a PhD in economic theory from the University of São Paulo, is a researcher at Insper, the coordinator of the institution's Racial Studies Center, and an avid cyclist.
