Meret is a Swiss Canadian who grew up in Newfoundland. Being a dual citizen, international cooperation has always been central to her academic interests. She holds an Honours degree in Political Science from Memorial University, a Masters in Global Health from the University of Geneva, and most recently a Masters in Comparative and International Education from the University of Oxford. She is interested in how education and public institutions shape the stories societies tell about themselves and her research explores which stories we leave out of these narratives and why. Meret is passionate to produce work that informs real world practice, making scholarship accessible beyond academia. Her work is interdisciplinary, from helping build the first statue of a woman in her hometown to commemorate women's suffrage, to serving as conference manager for the inaugural Global Model UN in Singapore.
