Max Han is the co-founder of Youths United for Earth, an award-winning grassroots nonprofit mobilising youth for environmental action through storytelling, campaigns, and advocacy, with a monthly reach of 50,000. For the past five years, Max Han has worked with public and private stakeholders including the UN, EU, Malaysia’s Central Bank, and now advises Malaysia’s Environmental Ministry. He also co-drafted Southeast Asia’s first Environmental Rights Declaration under ASEAN with UN bodies, diplomats, and vulnerable communities. Internationally, Max Han has advocated for climate justice at global forums at the UN negotiations, Stanford, and Princeton. His work has been recognised by the UN Messenger of Peace Dr. Jane Goodall, the Princess Diana Award, Tatler, and the North American Association for Environmental Education. He is also a National Geographic Explorer and the first Southeast Asian to be named a Future Nobel Laureate Scholar. Max Han's policy interests are climate justice and environmental governance. Max Han is a Rhodes scholar.
