Max Han is the co-founder of Youths United for Earth, an award-winning grassroots nonprofit mobilising youth for environmental action through storytelling, campaigns, and advocacy, with a monthly reach of 50,000 people.
Over the past five years, he has worked with public and private stakeholders and now serves on an advisory board for Malaysia’s Environmental Ministry. Max drafted Southeast Asia’s first Environmental Rights Declaration alongside UN bodies, governments, and front-line communities. Its adoption by ASEAN marked a landmark recognition of the right to a safe, clean, healthy, and sustainable environment for millions across the region. Internationally, he has a background in policy advocacy for climate justice at global and academic forums including the UN climate negotiations, Stanford, and Princeton University. His work has been recognised by the UN Messenger of Peace Dr Jane Goodall, the Princess Diana Award, Tatler, and the North American Association for Environmental Education. He is also a National Geographic Explorer and the first Southeast Asian to be named a Future Nobel Laureate Scholar. Max Han is a Rhodes Scholar.
