biography

Marius was born and raised in Heidelberg, Germany. His academic and professional journey has been focused on the intersection of international relations, economic policy, and digital communication. Marius completed his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics at Zeppelin University in Germany and studied abroad at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China, and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. After graduating, he worked at the European Central Bank (ECB) for over three years. As an Analyst in the ECB’s Communications Senior Management Team, he was responsible for drafting policy communications and conducting research on central bank communication.

Marius transitioned to the private sector as a policy adviser for a tech company, later joining the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig as a visiting researcher. Through the MPP programme, Marius aims to gain new insights into both technology and energy policy.
