Mariana is a Mexican attorney specialising in human rights from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She is a fierce advocate for women's rights. Her last dissertation focused on militarisation in the light of human rights, and she currently works for the Mexican Federal Judiciary Council, striving to integrate a gender perspective into judicial decisions and combat gender violence.

Mariana has contributed to public policies at the Special Prosecutor's Office for Crimes of Violence Against Women. In her pursuit of a more equitable society, Mariana provides pro bono assistance to women affected by violence in her free time and hosts a thought-provoking podcast where she tackles pressing social issues, fosters important conversations, and raises awareness. Mariana's aim is to address complex challenges and contribute to eradicating violence against women through effective public policies in Mexico and Latin America.
