biography

Margareth Velazco Loza is from Puno, one of the poorest regions of Peru on the border with Bolivia.

Margareth is passionate about public policies because of the better opportunities and social mobility that public policies provided her with, and as a result, Margareth chose to work in the public sector. She has worked in agencies attached to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Education, and worked for three years as a Social Policy Consultant at the United Nations Children's Fund.

In 2021, Margareth was Vice President of Impacta, a non-profit civil association that advocates for the professionalisation and modernisation of the State.

Currently, she is a Knowledge Management Consultant in the Special Public Investment Project-Bicentennial Schools, the first Special Public Investment Project in the education sector that works under the framework of the Government to Government agreement with the UK.

Margareth is a Chevening /Anglo American Scholar.
