Luis (Alejandro) received his undergraduate degrees in Law (LL.B.) and Philosophy (B.A.) from Universidad de los Andes, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Harvard University, and a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Oxford. With over a decade of experience, he has advised Colombia’s Ministry of Labour and served as a law clerk, legal professional, and auxiliary judge at Colombia’s Constitutional Court and the Special Jurisdiction for Peace. Most recently, Alejandro was a visiting professional at the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. His work focuses on making justice more humane and effective, particularly in addressing international crimes and armed conflict. His current interests include transforming criminal law through restorative justice and integrating artificial intelligence into judicial decision-making. While pursuing the Master of Public Policy Research (MSc) at the School, Alejandro also works part-time at the Oxford Institute of Technology and Justice.
