Lauren recently graduated from the University of Richmond, USA, where she studied Leadership Studies, Political Science, and Gender Studies. She served as the student body president and Board of Trustees student representative. Through research fellowships and as a research assistant, Lauren explored topics like historical policy responses to pandemics and the impact of lower court opinions on the UK Supreme Court. She aided in policy communication at the Virginia General Assembly and worked in constituent services at the U.S. Senate. Lauren also interned in the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, analysing discriminatory educational and housing policies throughout the state in the Division on Civil Rights.

During her childhood, Lauren experienced how policies can impact a student’s academic and social success as a special education student. This experience drove her passion for expanding access to education globally and creating positive change with policy.
