Laura is a Colombian professional with a Bachelor's in International Relations from Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá. For five years she worked in the public sector, focusing on public diplomacy and international judicial cooperation to combat organised crime and strengthen the rule of law. Growing up amid Colombia’s internal conflict shaped Laura's commitment to justice and motivated her to lead international negotiations that advanced transnational prosecution frameworks. She has facilitated the secure exchange of evidence to support cross-border investigations and prosecutions. Through the MPP, Laura seeks to deepen her expertise in applying data and technology to criminal justice policy, developing evidence-based strategies that address root causes of crime and improve cross-border institutional responses. Laura is a Gilinski Scholar.
