Kirin grew up in the UAE before moving to London to study economics and social policy at the London School of Economics. Since graduating, she worked at HM Treasury across a number of policy areas spanning infrastructure, economic security, and trade, contributing to the UK's response to the tariffs imposed by the US in 2025. Her time at HM Treasury has also included a stint working in the Private Office of the Growth Minister, where she led on labour market inactivity, local growth and devolution, and migration. Her policy interests are wide-ranging, from social mobility to trade and international policy.
