biography

Kerem hails from Turkey and is passionate about advancing clean energy solutions and sustainable finance. He pursued a dual degree in Social Sciences and Economics-Statistics at Sciences Po Paris and Columbia University, with a focus on the Middle East. At Columbia, he co-founded a startup to engage students and faculty with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Kerem began his career at Boston Consulting Group, gaining cross-sector experience and exploring how the private sector can drive social impact. He later joined the International Energy Agency (IEA) through the OECD Young Associates Programme, where he supported efforts to strengthen national data capacities for energy transitions and contributed to the publication of the IEA’s Energy Statistics Roadmap.
Kerem is fluent in Turkish, English, and French. At the School he hopes to refine his policy skills to help advance equitable energy access and sustainable growth through a career in development finance. Kerem is a Pershing Square scholar.
