Kellie Everett enlisted in the U.S. Navy after high school and spent six years as a nuclear reactor operator.
After her service, Kellie earned an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2022. While there, she recognised a deficiency of veteran support from the Institute and, with the help of veterans from MIT graduate programs, faculty, and staff, Kellie founded the Student Veterans Association of MIT, ultimately leading the university administration to later create the first MIT Office of Student Veteran Success.
As an Eisenhower Global Scholar at the Blavatnik School of Government, Kellie looks forward to learning how the United Kingdom dramatically reduced its reliance on fossil fuels and implementing this into United States policy.
She hopes to pull from her experience in the military, the tech world, and her time in Oxford to enable a conversation between scientists, technologists, and policymakers.
Kellie is an Eisenhower Global Scholar.
