Originally from Toronto, Canada, Kathleen studied commerce at Queen's University and currently works as an Engagement Manager at Monitor Deloitte, advising public sector organisations on strategy and transformation. Most recently, she led the redesign of the national pro bono strategy for the firm. Previously, she spent two years in New Zealand developing new approaches to homelessness and mental health support. This included leading the opening of a community facility that integrates housing, healthcare, and social services under one roof. Kathleen also helped design the first 24-hour community-based crisis recovery service for mental health in New Zealand, securing government funding for a new model of care that provides an alternative to hospitalisation. Those experiences shaped her policy interests in housing, mental health, and justice, particularly how policy can enable collaboration across sectors to deliver innovative solutions to complex social challenges.
