Kate Shandro is a Visiting Practitioner at the Blavatnik School of Government and Senior Adviser to the Rosa Project. Rosa is a legally designed AI tool that is being developed at the School by the Oxford Institute of Technology and Justice to help victims and survivors of Modern Slavery access local help and support, anonymously and in their own language. 
Kate is a qualified lawyer (England & Wales) and trained at the London office of international law firm, Norton Rose Fulbright. Kate then practised as legal counsel for L’Oréal UK and was sole legal counsel to the Luxe and Dermatological Beauty Divisions. 

Her professional experience provided in-depth experience of the legal issues and commercial operations of a world leading organisation. Kate’s legal and commercial expertise inform her work in pursuing strategic partnerships with large corporate and public organisations to ensure Rosa can reach those in need. 
Kate holds a French degree from the University of Bristol, a Graduate Diploma of Law from BPP Law School and Legal Practice Course certificate at The University of Law. She spent a year working and studying in France, including at the Paris office of international law firm Hogan Lovells, and at the Université des Antilles in Martinique. More recently, Kate completed the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment residential programme on Navigating Legal Risks and Opportunities of Climate Change, at Rhodes House, Oxford.
