Juan Felipe is from Cartagena, Colombia, and wants to become a public servant for his country and city. He studied Political Sciences and International Relations, acquiring experience in statecraft (development, defence and diplomacy). At the same time, while in a city full of opportunities but facing massive political challenges, Juan Felipe got involved in non-profit organisations to promote the 16th and 17th SDGs (Partnerships and Institutions).

As the son of someone in the military in a country at war, he had the opportunity to travel to different regions of Colombia, identifying institutional strengthening and public service as key factors to guarantee the country's prosperity. He is therefore interested in learning the politics of policymaking and studying successful worldwide policy cases to acquire a global vision with local knowledge. Juan Felipe aims to return to Colombia and become an elected politician with technocrat skills.
