biography

I am an Australian policymaker focused on making economic policy both more equitable and efficient. Prior to joining the MPP, I worked for the Australian Treasury. Over the course of almost six years, I worked across several key areas in the department including tax, financial system and macroeconomic policy. During this time, I played a significant role in the design and implementation of several major reforms, including: a landmark bank levy; regulatory changes to enhance banking competition; and most recently, tax measures to help support the economy following the emergence of COVID-19.

I graduated from the University of Melbourne with a first-class honours degree in economics. My career in public policy began at the Grattan Institute, a leading non-partisan think tank.

As an MPP student, I am particularly excited to broaden my perspectives beyond economics and to meet like-minded policymakers from across the globe.
