Jin is an economist and public policy professional at the Reserve Bank of Australia. Before this, he worked at the Australian Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Over the past year, Jin worked with large datasets to understand the impact of rising interest rates on Australians and the risk this could pose to the stability of the Australian financial system. He also provided policy advice on elements of the Reserve Bank's wide-ranging pandemic response.

Jin is passionate about racial equity and representation, particularly in public policy institutions, and works to improve the representation of people from cultural minority backgrounds in management positions. He graduated with an honours degree in commerce, majoring in economics from Monash University.
