biography

Jasper Theodor Kauth is a Case Writer for the Case Centre on Public Leadership at the Blavatnik School of Government.

Jasper holds a BA in History and Political Science from Heidelberg University, Germany, and an MSc in Politics Research (Comparative Government) from the University of Oxford. He is currently finishing up an ESRC-funded DPhil in Politics (Comparative Government) at Oxford’s Department of Politics and International Relations and Nuffield College. In 2022, he became an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Previously, Jasper worked on a range of history and politics research projects as well as in public history. He served with Action Reconciliation Service for Peace in Philadelphia, PA, at the Holocaust Center of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, and worked with the President Friedrich Ebert Memorial in Heidelberg, Germany. In 2022, he was on an ESRC Overseas Institutional Visit at the International Institute of Social History in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

In his free time, Jasper loves exploring Oxfordshire on his bicycle and spending time outdoors and in the studio where he works on his fine-art landscape and portrait photography.
