Jan is an AI governance researcher and policy professional from Poland. He's currently a Fellow at a tech policy think tank Interface, where his work focuses on EU AI Act implementation and AI innovation policy.

Before Oxford, Jan worked as a policy analyst with leading tech companies, where he assessed the impact of regulation on the enterprise and developed strategies to communicate related policy positions. He began his career in the public sector at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, coordinating Poland's involvement in the General Affairs Council within the Department of the Committee for European Affairs.

Jan also contributed to the Global Center on AI Governance's research on France's responsible AI ecosystem, and served as a Research Affiliate at the Oxford Martin AI Governance Initiative. He holds an MPP from the Blavatnik School of Government and an MSci in International Relations and Global Issues with Quantitative Methods from the University of Nottingham.
