James Morrison is a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he double majored in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) and English. 

Outside of his coursework, James assisted in conducting research in the field of American administrative law, particularly concerning the issue of bureaucratic legitimacy. 

James has an enduring interest in LGBTQ+ rights issues and worked with the Mazzoni Center, an organisation that provides legal aid to low-income LGBTQ+ people in the Philadelphia area.

As an incoming student of the 1+1 programme, James is excited to shore up gaps in the oft-understudied LGBTQ+ community and use those insights to propose policies that benefit LGBTQ+ people.
