biography

Isabella’s DPhil research focuses on the role of the private sector in the global governance of technology, specifically the security of advanced AI systems. She explores the political economy of collective action among companies in the international venues and institutions tasked with decision-making on AI security. Isabella is also a Research Fellow at Chatham House. As part of the institute’s Digital Society Programme, she specialises in the geopolitics of global technology governance and disinformation. Passionate about advancing equity in international affairs, she is Co-Chair of Women in International Security UK. Formerly, Isabella was a Research Associate in Chatham House’s International Security Programme – covering cybersecurity, cybercrime and gender – and part of the Journal of Cyber Policy’s Editorial Team. She was also a Visiting Fellow at The Hague Program for International Cybersecurity.

Isabella has a MA in Democracy and Governance from Georgetown University and a BSc in International Relations and History from the London School of Economics.

Isabella is a Blavatnik School of Government scholar.
