biography
Irakli is from Tbilisi, Georgia, and holds dual citizenship with Greece, having lived in Ukraine and Türkiye. Most recently, Irakli served as an Advisor at the Permanent Mission of Georgia to the United Nations and is the founder of Action for Community Transformation, an NGO tackling internal displacement and brain drain in Georgia. HIs previous experience spans international policy work at the European Parliament, energy research at Çalik Holding, and foreign policy analysis at The Jamestown Foundation. He also served as Deputy Executive Director of European Horizons.
Irakli holds a bachelor's degree from Columbia University, where he double-majored in Political Science and Economics and received departmental honours for his thesis. He is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honors Society, and a Saltzman Scholar.
Irakli's interests lie in regional security in Eastern Europe, sustainable energy, emerging markets, sovereign debt restructuring, and Russian disinformation.
