From Nigeria, Ibi is a public health physician and healthcare leader with expertise in healthcare quality improvement. Over the last fifteen years, she has worked as a Medical Officer of Health and Primary Healthcare Coordinator in various local councils across Lagos State, Nigeria. She led multidisciplinary health teams to deliver primary healthcare services and implement public health programmes such as routine immunisation and family planning in local communities. She also supported primary healthcare departments in the state to successfully implement health policies, including the national health insurance policy, thereby increasing access to quality healthcare for citizens.

As a Safecare Quality Assessor and Quality Improvement officer in the state, Ibi facilitated many healthcare improvement projects in primary health facilities. Ibi is passionate about the design, implementation and evaluation of public policies targeted at improved quality of care and universal health coverage for underserved populations.

Ibiwunmi is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar under the Africa Oxford Initiative (AfOx).
