As a Public Prosecutor at the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Heleno served as the Chief Operating Officer of CAO Educação (Operational Support Center of the Collective Education Prosecution) and the Specialized Technical Support Group (GATE). Heleno also led innovation initiatives at the Innovation Laboratory of MPRJ (Inova).
