Dr Helena Wright is the Executive Director of the Oxford Climate Policy Monitor, where she leads the initiative, drives research on policy, regulations, and manages its global legal network. The Climate Policy Monitor, which launched in 2024, evaluates how policies and regulations are aligned—or not—with global climate goals.
Before this, Helena worked as Director of Policy at the FAIRR Initiative, a global investor network focused on sustainable food systems. Previously, she has also worked as a Vice President at the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), worked on sustainable finance at the think tank E3G, as well as working as a negotiator for the UK Government.
Helena holds a PhD from Imperial College London. She has written several book chapters and articles on environmental issues and was previously a contributory author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
