Helen is an economist from Colombia with a minor in International Administration and MSc in Development Studies. Helen has a strong vocation for public service and academic life. She strives to create opportunities that empower children to develop their full potential and achieve their life goals. She has managed small initiatives and multi-million programmes that have reached the country's territories, increasing equality, creating opportunities and promoting diversity.

Helen's professional career is marked by public service in education. She worked in the Secretariat of Education of Bogotá as Director of Secondary Education and the National Department for Social Prosperity on the strategy to overcome extreme poverty. In the private sector, Helen led curriculum design projects, and teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels has enabled her to engage with young professionals interested in driving change in their environments.
