Hashem is a policy analyst at the Office of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, where he leads the Arab and African affairs file within the Political Affairs Directorate. His work focuses on regional affairs and foreign policy, providing analysis and policy recommendations to support decision-making, strategic priorities, and international engagement. Before joining the Office of His Majesty, he worked across the private and public sectors in national crisis management, manufacturing, industrial automation, and renewable energy. Hashem holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering from New York University, with a focus on communications, networking, and signal processing. Hashem’s policy interests include national and regional security, how states can strengthen their resilience to economic and geopolitical shocks, and how regional integration and connectivity can support economic growth and stability. Hashem is pursuing the MPP to broaden his policy toolkit and build on his public service experience.
