Hannah's research interests lie within development economics and focus on technologies, market failures, and risk in smallholder agriculture.

Before joining the Blavatnik School, she spent nine years working on research and programmes in the international development sector. Her last role was as a Senior Research Manager at Precision Development (PxD), a non-profit organisation that studies digital solutions to rural poverty. Hannah oversaw PxD's research projects in India, which ranged from large-scale field experiments to product innovation. Prior to that, Hannah was a Research Associate at the Center for Global Development where she conducted research on European development policy, and was an Economics Research Officer at the Institute of Development Studies.

Hannah is from the UK and holds an MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.

Hannah is an Oxford Martin and Blavatnik School of Government Scholar.
