Raised in Beirut, Lebanon, Gaelle holds a BA in Administrative and Political Sciences and a graduate degree in Comparative Politics from the University of Saint Joseph in Beirut. Her professional journey began with internships at the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UN Development Program, and the Office of the UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon. Gaelle then embarked on her career in a Beirut-based consultancy firm, initially focusing on policy research related to human security, then to Security Sector Reform (SSR), working on significant donor-funded programs aimed at enhancing the responsiveness and accountability of security organisations in Lebanon.
Over six years, Gaelle's work in SSR has emphasised organisational transformation, digital transformation, and gender mainstreaming of policing services. Her key policy interests include foreign aid and development, justice and security sector reform, and the role of Artificial Intelligence in policymaking.
