Mrs Funke Adepoju is the Director-General of the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), appointed in 2025. She is a seasoned public servant with more than 30 years of experience in education, public administration, and institutional reform.

She has held senior leadership roles in the Lagos State Public Service, where she provided strategic direction for regulatory governance, strengthened institutional capacity, and mobilized international partnerships. Her leadership introduced policy innovations and high-profile sectoral convening that raised Nigeria’s visibility in global development dialogues and attracted significant external investment to improve public services.

At ASCON, Mrs. Adepoju is advancing a transformation agenda that aligns with the Federal Civil Service Strategy & Implementation Plan (FCSSIP 25) and the Renewed Hope reforms. Her priorities include competency-based training for senior public officials, the integration of e-governance and digital learning platforms, the modernization of ASCON’s infrastructure, and the pursuit of strategic collaborations that position the College as a continental hub for reform delivery.

She holds multiple degrees, including an MBA, and is currently a doctoral student at Lagos State University. She has also completed executive training at Harvard University, the University of Florida, and ESAWAS.
