Fadumo, currently the managing director of WomeNet, is a technical professional specialising in strategic planning and policymaking in Somalia. With extensive experience in both the Office of the President and the Prime Minister, she has contributed to policy discussions among high-level decision-makers, including the Prime Minister and Cabinet Members, supporting the management of political landscapes and facilitating transitions during elections and state-building processes.

Fadumo's expertise encompasses governance support, stakeholder engagement, and the coordination of international assistance to the Somali Federal Government. She has technical experience in managing relations with civil society and non-state actors, working closely with women and youth groups, media, academia, and research institutions to ensure their inclusion in policy formulation.

Fadumo has also contributed to the African Union's Agenda 2063, aligning regional objectives with national policies. Fadumo is a Poler Family Oxford scholar.
