I am from Brazil and I have a BA in psychology and an MSc in social psychology. During the last six years, I have been working directly with social policy, which has become a passion and my strongest professional interest.
Since 2013, I've worked as a public servant at the Brazilian Ministry of Justice. At the ministry, one of my most important positions was as research manager of the National Secretary of Public Security, in which I supported the production and use of scientific research and evidence to help formulate social interventions.
In 2015, I co-founded the first Brazilian NGO specialising in knowledge translation and evidence-informed public policies, the Veredas Institute. As an NGO director, my goal is to promote and strengthen the culture of evidence-based public policies. Through this work, I hope to support the improvement of social policies in my country, leading to greater impact and effective social transformation.
