biography

Danilo is a Peruvian sociologist interested in social inequality, affirmative action, and humanitarian policies. In his second year at the school, Danilo wishes to explore the construction of broader mechanisms of inclusion and affirmative action policies in postcolonial countries. 

Previously, Danilo worked at the United Nations Regional Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs for Latin America and the Caribbean (OCHA-ROLAC). In parallel, he served on the UN representative's humanitarian advisor team in Peru. In the Lima 2022 oil spill and El Niño 2023 floods, he provided technical assistance to the government’s emergency management and coordinated the international cooperation response. 

Danilo worked for the Ministry of Culture researching indigenous communities, taught undergraduate sociology courses and conducted social science research on education and urban studies.
