I'm a South African economics and law graduate and ex-consultant shifting my focus into the climate and low-carbon transition space. I grew up in Cape Town, a place of incredible beauty and deep inequalities which shaped many of my views on purpose and justice. After graduating, I spent two years at McKinsey, based in both the Johannesburg and Doha offices. While working on a national renewable energy transition strategy, I realised I needed to learn more about the climate crisis. This led me to Oxford, where I completed the MSc in Environmental Change and Management. A problem as interwoven into the fabric of society as climate change requires systemic change; to equip myself for these systemic challenges, IÕm hoping to combine my private sector and academic experiences with a deeper understanding of policymaking through the MPP. Outside of class, I love rock climbing, dancing and board-gaming with friends (usually not at the same time!), and cycling around the many beautiful green spaces of Oxford.
